GTA 6: Release Date And Latest News On Grand Theft Auto VI

Release Date Rumors

As it has always been, Twitter and Reddit are some of the most common sources for GTA 6 release date rumors. The last game in the series GTA 5 got launched in 2013 on the ageing PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. It sounded like an impossible feat, but Rockstar made it possible and released the game on age-old consoles before bringing it to PS4 and Xbox One. They took two more years before it finally landed on PC.
GTA 6 first teaser trailers and more official information is expected to be revealed at E3 2020. The year 2020 is going to be one of the hottest in gaming history because it is also expected to be the time when both Sony and Microsoft will make their next-generation consoles official. PS6 and a new Xbox will be the viable platforms for GTA 6 to get launched when it is officially ready by 2021.

Seamless Gameplay on All Platforms

Going by the recent announcements made by Google and Microsoft, GTA 6 is one of the many AAA titles that will benefit multi-platform gameplay through streaming. While Rockstar is not going to make official announcements on it immediately, the bigger companies are the ones who get to decide how gaming can evolve in the coming years.
By the time the game gets released, even if it doesn’t get released on PC immediately, players will still be able to enjoy the game by streaming it from their Xbox console or Google cloud streaming. It will be a completely new experience because you will be able to experience the best graphics even on a smartphone with a Bluetooth controller, to the game on the go.

Although Rockstar hasn't officially even talked about GTA 6 yet, there's an inevitability in its existence that you can't really have about many other game series. After the sheer success of GTA 5, and the ongoing popularity of its multiplayer component, GTA Online, GTA 6 is coming... it's just a case of when. Seeing as Red Dead Redemption 2 only rode onto consoles last year, you might be waiting a little while for this particular dish. We would prepare yourselves for GTA 6 being a title that launches well into the PS5 and Xbox Project Scarlett console generation, to take full advantage of all the new technologies that they'll inevitably bring.
Rockstar, in typical fashion, remains tight-lipped about what we can expect from the highly-anticipated RPG, but there are a few rumours circulating around on the internet as well as some particularly enthusiastic theories from the GamesRadar team. It's definitely going to be quite a long time before we hear anything about GTA 6 officially, so to sate your appetites in the meantime below you'll find everything we know about GTA 6, from how many playable characters it might have to potential locations, thanks to an alleged flood of information from a recent GTA 6 Project Americas leak. GTA 6 story

A GTA 6 story could take any shape. Across the Grand Theft Auto series, narratives have covered a broad spectrum of ideas and tones – from the cynical critique of capitalism portrayed in GTA 4, to the relatively light and humorous GTA 5.
We’re not aware of any specific GTA 6 story beats as yet. It remains to be seen if there will be multiple protagonists once again, but we would love to see GTA 6 herald the inclusion of the first female GTA protagonist. In a 2013 interview with The Guardian, Dan Houser explained why a woman wasn’t playable in GTA V, and how the team could make it happen in the future.

“We didn’t really think about it this time [of GTA V]. That’s not to say that we couldn’t or we wouldn’t. This character set is just what came to us: it wasn’t, ‘we’ve got X and Y so we need Z’, we weren’t trying to do it off a checklist – I don’t think that will ever give you something that’s believable or engaging.
“In the future, could we do a game with a lead female character? Of course. We just haven’t found the right game for it yet, but it’s one of the things that we always think about. It didn’t feel natural for this game but definitely for the right game in the future – with the right themes, it could be fantastic.”
We certainly agree. If Rockstar could imbue a female protagonist with its typically anarchic sense of humour, she could be one of PC gaming’s greats. And, since we got a three-pronged set of protagonists last time – a first for the series – why can’t we have a little more variety in our lead characters for GTA 6? Who knows, they could even be on the side of the law this time, like these GTA V modders.

GTA VI May Show the World of Cops

If there is one thing the world of Grand Theft Auto never explored, it would be the option to actually play as a cop and take down the criminal. While it is confirmed that the story arc will have at least three different characters similar to GTA V, it wouldn’t be surprising if one of them is a cop.
Viewing the crime-ridden world from a cop’s perspective would be completely different. Besides, when you play as one, you may also have to take down criminals and go behind fast cars or heist chases. The storyline will be pretty interesting because if these characters are friends or enemies, they will probably be on two different sides of the law and have to confront each other, repeatedly, throughout the course of the storyline.
